Emotional Deviation

If we look at the wide range of philosophical concepts of reality, we see that there are a lot of differences, and some ideas are from one extreme to the other. Truth is scarecly discussed in this context though. Whether one concept is true or not is rarely discussed or thought about for that matter.

Let’s say there is a true philosophical concept/definition of reality. Then, what made people theorize all the others? I think peoples’ emotions somehow deviate the truth. Thus, creating many concepts which can coincide with theirs. Perhaps this is all happening subconsciously.

Now if we take the above premise, then possibly, emotions distort our views of truth and reality. Can an emotionless version of a human see reality clearly. Is this why in science fiction, emotionless beings are usually considered superior? <tongue-in-cheek>Are agnostics very emotional people?</tongue-in-cheek>

This is of course only true if there is an absolute truth.
